Pangasinan’s founding date formally declared

Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. (seated) signs an ordinance declaring April 5, 1580 as the official founding day of Pangasinan last February 15 at the Governor’s office in Capitol Building, Lingayen, Pangasinan.  The provincial board, headed by Vice Gov. Marlyn Primicias-Agabas (3rd from right, 1st row), unanimously approved the ordinance which was based on the report submitted by the Research and Study Committee on Pangasinan’s Charter Date during the regular Monday session.  The committee, chaired by Atty. Gonzalo T. Duque (left), was formed by Gov. Espino last year.
