April 5, 1580 is Pangasinan’s Founding Day

Research Committee on Pangasinan’s Charter date chairman Atty. Gonzalo T. Duque (left) submits the committee report to Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. (2^nd from left) at the Governor’s office, Capitol Building in Lingayen last February 15.  Based on thorough research and study, the committee, which was created by Gov. Espino last year by virtue of Executive Order No. 0024-2009, has declared April 5, 1580 as the founding date of the province.  Witnessing the turnover rites are (starting from right): Board Members Von Mark Mendoza, Alfonso Bince, Angel Baniqued, Jeremy Agerico Rosario, Vice Gov.
