PESO announces Job openings abroad

LINGAYEN --- More job opportunities here and abroad awaits welders and pipe fitters as Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) is set to conduct interviews and trainings to interested individuals on August 13 at 8:00 in the morning at the Narciso Ramos Complex Gymnasium.

Job applicants will be interviewed by the staffs of Skills Development Center (SDC) previously known as KC TECH, the training center of Hanjin Shipping Company Limited.
As a requirement, applicants should be out-of-school youth and unemployed adults, 18 to 35 years old, at least high school graduate, physically fit and willing to be trained.
Alex Ferrer, PESO Chief however explained that welders who have obtained NC 1 or NC 2 certification from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will undergo specialized training after which they will be screened and deployed to foreign employers even without work experience.
He further noted that applicants who successfully finish the training are assured of jobs waiting for them.
Would-be applicants must report to the PESO center with their resume, 2 x 2 photo, photocopy of NBI/Police Clearance, photocopy of birth certificate and diploma.
Also, Ferrer bared that prior to the August 13 screening, the SDC has already interviewed some 121 applicants last July 17, out of which 99 already passed and are presently trained in Subic.
